how many weeks would you give it before we are over in Brussels negotiating a desperate deal
no deal is not a solution and never has been.

No Deal means we start at an even weaker negotiating position than before.
We will still need to trade with the EU, the Irish border issue will not be resolved, we would still need to negotiate FTA.

Why would that be?
I do know.
we currently have 759 trade agreements with 168 countries as part of the EU.
if no deal goes through, they cease to exist.
what will happen is in order to continue trading, we will reach some form of initial deal to continue under the same terms....some of that has already been agreed
But that can only continue if there is regulatory alignment (ie continuing under EU rules) -as soon as that ends, there are no trade agreements.
With no trade agreements, we will have to accept much worse terms than we currently have.
So I do know, there is no other option, it isnt speculating, it is what has to happen -there arent any alternatives -oh actually there is one: we negotiate a deal with the EU to stay part of the customs union -on their terms and at much higher cost.
Sorry what I mean is the doom and gloom that you and the other remoaners peddle. Saying we will be in a bad state with no deal.

Can you speculate what happens the day after your passport expires and you want to travel?
The same people who talk about being tough on upholding laws and having better regulation want to flout laws and regulations when it comes to Brexit?
You don't suppose the same could happen, as when we joined the EU, where we continued to use valid black passports, at least until they expired, then we used the red EU ones. The sky will not fall in, there not be a plague of locusts, there will not be gunboats in the channel, there will be no food shortages, they will not cut the cross channel interconnectors.

If trade agreements are removed overnight -what happens is already clear
I listened to WTO Director General Roberto Azevêdo:
the WTO believe would happen in the event of a no-deal Brexit on 31st October. The alarming response: "There's going to be trade barriers erected overnight. Huge increases in tariffs.
"Also, what are called non-tariff barriers, such as sanitary checks and regulations. These are increased costs to trade which would render some businesses unviable overnight.
"Even some sectors. If you're going to be extreme about it, sectors like agriculture could really struggle simply to survive under these circumstances.
"The problem is that we simply can't lower tariffs after a no-deal just because we choose to do so. The WTO stops you doing that, because that counts as granting unfair privileged access to markets without going through the proper channels.
"So Brexiters who argue we could leave under no-deal and simply refuse to put up these trade barriers frankly don't know what they are talking about."
