Farewell Democracy...

We do not live in a democracy- we live in a parliamentary democracy. We vote for representatives to act on our behalf.

Boris has denied our representatives the right to represent us. By definition, that is undemocratic.
By all of 6 days ffs!

Ah, but I am now. Heard Reece Mogg on the telly this morning saying that Brexit will lead to cheaper food, clothing and footwear so put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Rees Mogg has claimed that numerous times and it has been comprehensively been rejected as utter hogwash.

But hey, you believe Rees Mogg because it suits your confirmation bias.
So you positively want to be lied to.
By a person that stands to gain by Brexit and you stand to lose.

Couldn’t tell you - don’t know what I pay now. But definitely cheaper after Brexit. Reece Mogg said so.

What did you vote for?

What sort of Brexit.

do you go into a restaurant and say 'I want food'?

So what do you want?
Incorrect equivalent is i want to eat OUT. Now as the proffessionals please serve me some food i shouldnt have to chose each and every ingredient you're the proffessionals you see to it please.

So let me get this right. Hits the nail on the head, this comment.

We have a PM who was voted in by party members that has suspended Parliament, a Queen (by birth right) that approves it and an Upper House that is now filled with life time peers. But it is the EU that is undemocratic?

Harry also doesn't know any.

So that Harry, Mottie, Gasbag and Dum, all campaigning noisily for something with no advantages.

Hardly, all I have said is I voted Out, wanted out and still want out. I certainly haven't campaigned or seriously entered any discussion about it.

But definitely cheaper after Brexit. Reece Mogg said so.

Can you provide anything to back that up, other than 'Rees Mogg said so'........

I can provide one of many examples:

1) food and drink – around 79 per cent – is sourced from the EU. Any food imported from the EU post-Brexit will be more expensive

2) Sterling devaluation: devaluation of sterling post-referendum has already made imports more expensive. In the event of no deal It would devalue further

3)Our own food more expensive: A weaker sterling and other new barriers to importing from the EU could make imported fertiliser more expensive, for example.
In the long-run it is hard to see how unilateral tariff removal would offset other inflationary pressures and make food in the UK cheaper than it is now. At best prices would remain much the same. At worst, the daily shop could become noticeably more expensive.

please stop believing the lies told by politicians.
Ask yourself will Rees Mogg or you be better off after any form of Brexit?

Couldn’t tell you - don’t know what I pay now. But definitely cheaper after Brexit. Reece Mogg said so.

That confirmed liar. Ok.

Rees Mogg is what a thick person thinks an intelligent person sounds like.

You mean the cost of goods being lower.

The Sun yesterday acknowledged its story on lower prices after Brexit was false. But Jacob Rees-Mogg, who enthusiastically endorsed it, remains shtum
