Just fitted Drayton Wiser Hub, doesn't seem to be switching on boiler

Hi,

So I just bought a Drayton Wiser kit and fitted the Hub. My problem is that when I activate boost to test the system the gas light on my boiler doesn't light up - which I assume means it hasn't turned itself on...

Here are some pics of my wiring and the boiler, along with a pic of the Drayton wiring guide.

From the drawing you posted, you can see that terminal 3 of the Wiser is the 'ON' connection that goes to the boiler to signal it to light up.

Except you don't have a wire connected to terminal 3.....

....so it won't work
 
Thanks, just figure this out exactly as you posted. Whoever installed the previous wall plate (non-standard) used the ground wire as a switching live, which I attached to the ground...

Just wiring it up correctly now.

It wasnt a ground as you call it /Earth wire, it was the switched live, never go by wire colour in a heating system
