Neighbour dispute

I’m after ideas how to approach my neighbour who puts her dog out in all weathers, its gut wrenching listening to it just cry to be in. Its a private let house and i’ve had some right nightmare tenants in the last twenty years but one is really nice apart from the dog situation. I know i could just knock on and tell her but I don’t want to risk it kicking off and having a fall out.

I think a dog should have a shelter outside. A dog house.
To shelter from rain and snow. And I'm pretty sure thats the rspca's take on this.
So you could phone them first and see what they say.
And they might pay your neighbour a visit.
Personally if I was you I would stay well clear.

I guess you mean its out for long periods?
Too lazy to walk the dog?

Take a few videos of the entire periods the dog is outside in bad weather.
I suppose you could see if you can pickup a good dog kennel ‘by chance’ and tell your neighbour you immediately thought it would be ideal for her dog as a gift?

If they cant look after it, should they really have a pet?

Make a gate linking gardens. And let the dog into your for some comfort and love.

I used to have neighbours with a dog which they left in when they went to work.

The bloody thing must have been more intelligent than most because it soon learned that if it barked non-stop for nine and a half hours they would come back.

I had a bugie.... I'd say to him to get back in his cage. He did and I would give him a little tweet..



Eventually he learned how to ask for a tweet..



Then he got greedy he wanted more than one.

He would say Tweet tweet.

Dogs are pack animals, it wants to be with it's family.

As RSPCA as said above.

If they won't look after it the dog would be better off re-homed..

Too many irresponsible dog owners, they are not toys to play with and then discard when you get bored.

It's too easy to own a pet so the poor owners mistreat them.

thats very true, if my wife and I are out in the garden, our dog always comes out, if we go in, she comes in too.

She doesnt suffer separation anxiety, in fact is a pretty independent dog, but they are pack animals and dont like to be shut away.
