Knife Crime

the laws to deal with it already exist. The "organisations that are needed to action this zero tolerance attitude" already exist; they are the police, the courts and the prisons. Currently these organisations are doing the wrong things

And why do you think that is? Could it be slashing of budgets to allow tax breaks for the rich? Our are you going to suggest they are just not in the mood?

What? If you know, tell us and the government, but no, instead of that you deride anyone who says anything different to your way of thinking (whatever that is as you never come up with anything constructive). You're a pathetic little loner with no love given to you, so you come on here to make yourself feel better, but you just can't see that.
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Calm down, please dont upset yourself.
Just accept you have a narrowminded view of the world which prevent objective thinking.
Be at peace with yourself and be happy your stereotyped views are wrong. (y)

There is an answer to this crime caper

Just needs some one to think of it

May be a bit extreme but ehem Mao took over in China there was a massive opium addict problem

violence generally solves problems of this nature if it does not its because not enough was used ;)

Not suggesting we should go around shooting people :sneaky:

I'm calm, you, on the other hand, are having a hissy fit, lambasting others who come up with suggestions, yet are unable to give any indication of the solution which you state is out there, so put up or shut up.

One of the problems with all this knife crime is it also prevents us from carrying a legal knife that's within a mutitool and carried for legitimate reasons.
Not because it's illegal but because the plod just assume that everyone is gonna stab someone else so will just arrest you anyway.

That would be a great argument if NK didn't have a crime problem. But it does. Do some research before assuming that dictators stamp out crime - they are usually behind half of it.

North Korea is a massive producer of opium, to government runs huge opium farms. And when China banned it, they saw a massive rise in organised crime and opium trade - triad gangs took over where the farmers left off.

Doesn't look to rosy now, does it?

Says Ihaveno brains having a hissy fit.

I will repeat for your benefit: Harsher sentences do not reduce crime.

Please let me know if you have difficulties understanding, im perfectly happy to explain it even more simply for you.

they would if they were harsh enough - just keep making them harsher and harsher until it works, it is the way to go.

We have been making them softer and softer since the 70s and that has clearly failed. It's time to try the other way.

Some crimes, maybe. But when it comes to drug dealing and other gang related activities, including carrying weapons, they really don't care, it's a calculated (well, often they are too thick to calculate anything) risk. Many young people are drawn into crime by gangs and feel that there is no way out - violence is used to control etc. Plus, many are very good at not getting caught.

We need to stop thinking of all criminals as equals and understand that many are victims. Until people grasp this the gangs will never be stopped.
