My shower pump has packed up so i need to replace it. The current pump is connected to a fused spur taken from the lighting circuit.
Is it acceptable to change the switched spur to a single socket plate and just plug the pump in. Most are supplied with 3 pin plugs now days so just want to make it easier to swap over when the next one goes. The socket would never be used for anything else. Is there any issue with this?
