Nope, as long as you restrict, if not block, external access then you can mitigate and or stop external sources. It's a lot harder for non island nations but not impossible.

their "recovered" figure is lower than their "deaths" figure. Deaths are almost double recovered.

which tells us that their testing has failed. Looks like they are only or mostly testing people who are very ill. So their "infected" numbers will be a gross under-estimate. They don't know who is infected, or where the hotspots are.

Worse still, they don't know who has been infected and recovered, so they don't know who the people are who are likely to be immune, and could safely work with the sick.

Ah! The UK model. :cool:

Although to be fair they may be waiting a long time to make sure that people are totally recovered before capturing that. No one likes retrospective changes to data.
