Today is my eldest grandsons 14th birthday.
It is my stepsons 21st birthday.
And my step daughter has just passed her driving test this morning, first time.

So in theory we should be having massive celebrations today, sadly they will all have to be put on hold but no point in being miserable about it. Just count your blessings.

Congrats!
Was surprised to see doing driving tests but great news. First time show-off :)

what a great time to pass your test -when the roads are empty :ROFLMAO:

driving at the moment is really quite a pleasure. Sadly we arent allowed to drive

They have cancelled standard tests but because she is a carer she was able to have hers.

Admittedly the roads are quite at the moment but she usually had her lessons during peak time and coped with very heavy traffic 'admirably', in the words of her instructor.
She took it at 8.00am this morning so there was still a fair bit of traffic flowing at the time meaning it wasn't as easy as you may imagine. She also did 3 individual manoeuvres instead of the obligatory 2 and had 2 minors. One not looking in her side mirror enough when reversing into a parking bay and the second for waiting for waiting for a pedestrian to go past when she was parallel parking. When she explained to the examiner she waited in case the pedestrian stepped out behind her he said that as he had already marked it as a minor he couldn't change it but agreed she did have a valid reason for waiting.

I have two brothers born on the 15th March.

My wife’s birthday is July 14th, her younger brothers birthday is July 14th, their Nans birthday was July 14th and our son was due to born on July 14th but was 5 days late, the lazy git.

Surprising as it seems, her brother frequently 'forgets' her birthday!

Congratulations. I thought you were in your 40s. :p

I'm still ****ed off my child didn't have the awareness to arrive on April fools Day. I was going to milk that one for their entire life. No punctuality these young people.

 I wish! 30 something in mind but 40+51% in body the middle of August.
I'll let you do the maths. LOL

Just to add the other posts. My Mum's birthday was the 4th of August, one of my elder brothers is the 4th of August, my present FIL is the 8th, my ex-FIL was 14th, eldest stepson 14th, me 15th and one of my grandsons the 21st

August has never been a cheap month for me.
