Ending inequality in UK

The parents of my German ex. fled from the East.

They settled as far to the West as they could get, close to the Dutch border.

On my first morning in her flat, we heard on the news of a Berlin escapee being shot dead.

Mottie mentioned the other day that he was claiming benefits off the taxpayer, while spending his days walking the dog and pottering in his allotment. Perhaps he could spare you a bit.
You’re 'aving a larf! I’ve got an gas guzzling pollution producing car to run, a taste for craft Gin and fine wines not to mention a nice cruise to go in when all this lot is over. Anyway, I’m no socialist - capitalism rules. :sneaky:

The NHS was formed by socialists. At the time the establishment might have wondered if they were communists - as per Wilson some years on.

Zero our contracts are by no means new. They are a replacement for knock on the door on Monday to see if there was work to do this week - one form of lay offs. Unions are one of the mechanisms that ended those. They are back again.

So many determined to get out of the DDR - get real, 16m people. If all tried they would have a bit of a problem stopping them.

Russian planes and weaponry. Never hear of USA and Uk similar doing the same and as per the Russian stuff. The nation using them probably wont have people from their source using / flying them. One lot kills civilians the other lot have collateral damage. Insurgents are often seen as the good guys by one lot and terrorists by another.

LOL we are all influenced by propaganda and communism is seen by the west as a pariah. America? A slightly left wing president is likely to find himself seen as red at some point. Clinton was one of them.

Frankly I'm not that keen on any of the alternatives but feel problems are not really down to this aspect.

You are when it suits - like when you are in need of the NHS or when you need other social amenities or emergency services or a £10k back hander for sitting on your erse and doing nothing.

Luvvly jubbly. We all are when it suits us but I’ve never pretended otherwise. Some on here are getting up to £7.5k and still working. (y)

My fellow hole digger has just had a pay rise. That £7.5k will be very handy, if I decide to spend it. It's nice not being selfish mottie.

Unfortunately in our 2 party system, we have this tribal politics, so anybody that doesnt agree with Tory neo liberalism must be a raving socialist.....which is clear in this thread.

The rubbish you come out with!!!!

Your just a raving socialist....

oxymoron

you've quoted my post -then made a comment that proves I was right.
Je suswept :ROFLMAO:

If you think you can, do go ahead and show me a post which shows I'm a supporter of socialism. (ps -being critical of a Tory govt does not make a person a socialist).

It was a Sunday afternoon joke.....

Nice one but do you really expect an answer from that pair of champagne socialists?
What's a 'champagne socialist'?

Oh that's right, it's a made up phrase used by ignorant people trying to justify their own greed!

That was not as widespread as western propaganda would have you believe.

So why were so many desperate to leave the East?

God, you are hard work, DP. Just join up the dots you've put there yourself.

They were desperate to leave the East because Western propaganda made them believe wealth was widespread, and achievable.
Perhaps the scale of both was inflated too.
The point of propaganda.
