How can I tell if gas is run to a house ?

Hi, its got storage heaters, no gas appliances.
phoned gas board they dont know

there are 2 meter type boxes outside the house.
Im in the process of buying it.

Is it likely to have gas because of the 2 boxes ?

or could that be electric for it and the attached neighbour ?

Need to open the box and have a look, absolutely no way of telling without more information I'm afraid.

Tell us more history of the property , is it brand new? is it an older property ? has it been empty for a while ? we cant just guess, no such thing as the Gas board these days

As said ask owner to confirm, putting in gas will be expensive even if the rest of the road have it.

Did they die due to a gas leak?

Or just ask the neighbours, or as the owner is dead, go and open the boxes and take pictures and post back on here.

Or even post the address on here and we could all have a goggle.
