Falling off an mtb, gashing my knee .
After four hours of not being able to staunch the bleeding, I went to hospital. To find its minor injuries unit closed due to the 'rona.
Off to other hospital, where I was x rayed, and had four stitches in the cleaned - out wound.
It's the bashed bones that hurt the most, so I expect some heavy bruising over the next few days....

I cooked probably my best ever pork crackling joint for today’s roast but having spent over £500 on one tooth over the last 6 weeks, I was too frightened to try it!
Putting CDs into alphabetical order, no really.
They were in the dining room which is now part of the new lockdown kitchen, reinstated bookshelves and cd racks in the small lockdown extension and put the cds back in strict alphabetical order. You'd be surprised how many arguments that can cause.
FFS woman don't hand me pile of David Bowie cds and tell me it's B, it's D, OK.
FFS woman JJ Cale is C, OK.

Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Lovely day so far, considering restrictions; out for dinner (mental, considering restrictions!) shortly- then home early to quaff the Verve we opened this am.

Having a new carpet fitted to the lounge tomorrow morning so cleared the whole lounge out and it’s littering up the kitchen/diner and hall. They look like one of those hoarders houses you see on the telly. All that’s missing is bottles of **** and carrier bags of ****!

Thanks, I slept pretty good, woke up with a sore shoulder which I expected, the NHS website predicted that due to some gas they put in the enlarge the appendix while the are cutting it out.
Most of the guys on my ward are in for smoking alcohol related problems. I don’t smoke and a couple of days in here has made me think about changing my drinking habits too.

Mrs Mottie does some part time work transcribing for a liver consultant. It’s turned her into a wine Nazi. I’m practically tee-total these days!
