Covid......... easy to protect yourself.

Point out which bit of what I wrote is wrong, then.
You're not good at understanding the written word are you?

I'm not saying you were wrong that there are valves for inhaling and exhaling, I'm saying it's bloody obvious.

But since you're hard of thinking, Scuba tanks are typically around 200 bar. The pressure regulator reduces that pressure to the same as the surrounding water to avoid exploding your lungs. That also includes the inhale valve. The exhale valve is to stop water getting in but to allow used air out.

Re: masks.
There's these things called quotations, it lets you see what someone is replying to. I don't know which post, or even for sure which person you're responding to.

Again, since you're struggling, I was responding most recently to your question on why a diving system might need valves.

I give up at the stupidity for not wearing a mask. Surgeons and dentists are not gasping for air.

Of course I am struggling.

It's like talking to Trump or Himmy.
Now you're just refusing to use quotes deliberately aren't you? Seems a bit rude, as well as contributing to your inability to follow a conversation.

But I suppose...

people seem unable to work out the simplest things

Ah, I see the confusion now.

When I said 'simplest things', I did not mean you.
I'm not confused.

Anyone who throws stones whilst living in a glass House deserves one lobbed back at them.

In your case you stuck that line up and then promptly turned around and asked a silly question. There are laws on the internet about ignoring that sort of open goal.

Also, there's the big helpful Quote button, use it.

Masks do not affect oxygen / CO2 levels

Under strenous work they certainly do.
If youd ever worked in a tough environment with one on, you would know.
But you don't know.

If you watch a soft mask when someone is breathing and the mask is 'blown out' and then 'sucked in', it is obvious that when 'blown out' it is then full of exhaled breath which obviously is inhaled again.

Precisely.
But the mob on here will try to silence you.

But you don't know.

A GP ran a marathon wearing one (pretty strenuous activity one would think) didn't lower his blood O2 levels.

if it was a problem, people would be collapsing all over the place.

No they wouldn't.
They won't notice it until they remove the mask and carry out the same task.
Collapse?
Don't be silly.

Under strenous work they certainly do.

That's not due to any build - up of carbon dioxide in the face covering ("mask") though ; if anything, due to the (slight) restriction in normal breathing.

If anyone cares, you can buy breathing trainers, which are intended to make breathing more laboured. The idea being that, when not worn and exercising hard, it will feel easier to breathe.
The same idea as having a training bike, and a light - as - a-feather race bike.
