About 5 or 6 years ago now, maybe even longer, I bought a new telly. I only bought it because it had Freeview play on it as it was relatively new at the time. My mate liked it and bought one too. I saw him yesterday and he was telling me he had got rid of his as he wanted to move up to a 4K TV. He was telling me how good it was etc and said I should buy one. I had mentioned about getting a new one to the wife recently and she said no way, there’s nothing wrong with the old one. :(Anyway, I mentioned this to my mate and of course he was taking the **** and telling me to grow a pair. Even started sending me links for new tellys. He's started calling me Mr 1K! I looked up the details for the one I have and it is 4K! He won’t have it so can one of you knowledgeable chaps on here tell me what I am missing out with the telly I’ve got. It’s this one: https://www.richersounds.com/pana-tx40cx680b.html
Thanks

No, he GAVE a 4K one away because he wanted a 4K one. Gave it to his son-in-law who, like me, got great mileage out of taking the **** out of him.:LOL:

Unless your signed up to the premium services for things like BT, Netflix, Virgin or have a sky Q box, then theres not much 4k content. Prime & Youtube are exceptions.

He's started calling me Mr 1K!

On top of everything else he got wrong, you can also ask him where he learned to do his sums. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Even if you had a 1080p TV, it's not 1K.

1920x1080 pixels is roughly 2K.

A UHD TV might well be almost 4K pixels horizontally, but it's 2160 pixels vertically, so if measuring both techs in the same way, his TV is only 2K. Tell him to go back to his retailer and complain ;););) :ROFLMAO:
