Pipe fitting leak.

Hiya,

I used the straight coupler to joint an old pipe which is slightly small than the new one (22mm) ‍. It has a slight leak on it. Is there any way that I could seal it without drain the system again and soldering it?

What’s the pipe for and what size do you think the pipe is if it isn’t 22mm?

Sounds like you are joining old 3/4 pipe to 22mm pipe and need the correct fitting

I think this is the case because when i fitted it in (the old pipe) on the 22mm straight coupler it is loose, as compared to the new 22mm pipe.

Solder ring straight coupler

You should have used an imperial to metric conversion coupler 3/4 in to 22 mm. End feed or Yorkshire as you prefer.

Now i have to drain the central heating system again to fix the issue. However, is there anything out there that i could just glue or paste it on to stop the leak?

I was thinking it was a compression, see it always helps if we have all the information.

No. You have to drain out and do it properly !
