Hi folks. We're getting a new Howdens kitchen. Hoped to install new Worcester Bosch CDi Compact boiler in 290mm deep wall unit (vertical flue through roof). Boiler is 280mm deep, so fits inside. But...the Worcester Bosch literature (and checked with technical team) insists on having 20mm clearance in front when the door is closed! All boiler installers out there: does it really matter if it has 10mm instead of 20mm. Will anyone care, ever? Would it REALLY lead to a Worcester engineer insisting on a deeper cupboard being installed before they touch it under the warranty?! Some advice from those who know, would be massively welcome. Thanks!

Baxi 600 series, use the rear flue option and it will sit inside the cupboard and be invisible.

Boiler depth is 285, but the don't recommend a minimum clearance, (they do but only for servicing requirements)

I'm assuming the front of the Bosch gets hot which is why they require the additional clearance
