I just bought a new house, which has upstairs and downstairs zoning, although the hot water seems not to be separate (i.e. once heating is on, hot water is automatically on also)
Zoning is controlled by 2 thermostats in the 2 hallways .

I cant for the life of me see a wall plate.......should I asking a professional to install the system?

I had really wanted to do this myself to save a few euro...but dont want to take on more than I am capable of ( I am not an electrician but know most of the basics)

Any help/opinions welcome - even if they are against my wishes

What do you mean by " wall plate "?
Are you referring to a programmer ?

yes...there is no programmer.........there is timer on the boiler (manual - not digital)...trying to upload a photo now

How many zone valves do you have?

I would make the boiler be perm on with that timer then add a seperate external one that handles HW and two CH zones all wireless thermostats but its possable you will need an additional zone valve for HW depending on how your system is setup.

Your pressure gauge is showing over 3.5 bar. Which is way too high. Is water spewing out the pressure relief pipe outside ?

Yea....we only just moved in.

Yes . Is it a new build ?
See if your filling loop is open ,or show pics of Pipework below boiler ,in sharp focus !
You will need to find a drain point on your central heating to drop pressure.

Well this is a bag of worms as you need to first need to map the existing system where all the zone valves are, where is the split to the HW cylinder, which zone controls it or does it heat up if either zone is calling, if either zone controls it then that seems its common and may be easy to add a zone valve but you need to locate how the split for each zone and HW is done.

Add pictures of all the controls, wiring boxes, zone valves, piping around the boiler etc, where is the HW cylinder etc etc.

It is a combi boiler, doesnt have a HW cylinder, the receivers for the existing stats will be next to the two zone valves

A combi would normally have a temp dial on the front, also author states HW heats up with the CH

Sorry you are correct looks like an Ariston Micro system, so it is not new build they stopped making them in 2007 and they are not condensing boilers so cant be installed in new build
