EU unhappy with astrazeneca

The fact is we won the Battle of Britain.
I guess that's your argument won. I'll retreat and burn my history books. Thank god they had nowt left in the tank to destroy 22 million determined Ruskies.

Oh, hang on...

The fact is we won the Battle of Britain. Giving the US the chance to join the war.
Also giving the Germans reason to change tact and turn east.
Had we not stood to the Nazi's then the war would have changed.
Either Russia or Germany would have conquered the British Isles and the rest of Europe. The US would not have been able to do a thing about it.

Well yes and no

fact is if it was not for the Russians the war could well have dragged on a lot longer or some sort of peace agreement

the eastern front battles campaign was massive the Germans lost a massive amount of tanks and air craft there all of which may well have been in France

German tech towards the end of the war was pretty impressive as well

ballistic missile tech

Let's say the German's conquered the British Isles. Do you think they then would still lose to the Russians?
Possibly. But it is a good question. A pause, no matter how significant, gives those enemies time to amass fortifications, weapons, intelligence etc. Something that most of Europe was missing when the Gerries steamrolled/blitzkrieged every single army before them, including the British and shoved them into The Channel. You can not emphasise enough how formidable those soldiers (The Wehrmacht) were.

Thsts not my point. I believe the Russians would have still have beaten the German's. But do you think the Ruskies would have stopped at the German border? or do you think they would have taken the rest of Europe as they did with Poland Czechoslovakia amongst other countrys.
Remember the Americans are fighting their own war in thd Pacific.

The German blitzgreig tactics against France and Poland etc

frightened the ***t out of Stalin and the Russians

he gave Britain no chance of standing up to hitler hence the Russian German pact or treaty
Which hitler had no intention of honouring

Adolph should have read his history

ref the French invasion of Russia that got halted by the Russians and the Russian winter

the German army was never equipped for a long drawn out campaign and winter war fare

err...they didn't. They settled on a diplomatic agreement regards East Germany and the Soviet control of outlying Eastern European countries.

Russia entered the war in the Pacific.

Hence why ta Battle of Brtain was a the most important and key point of the war.

We could never have beaten the German's or the Russians alone.
The Germans were on the verg of nuclear weapons and a Rocket that could hit New York. The Russians had a massive army.
Neither the Russians or the German's would have been our friends.

Agreement with Who?

Agreement with Who?

In February 1945, when they were confident of an Allied victory, U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Stalin met near Yalta, Crimea, to discuss the reorganization of post-WWII Europe.

Sort of agreed

it could also be argued that due to the British and Americans a massive German army was tied up in France
Which could have been used against the Russians

so perhaps the Russians should be grateful for that ?

that’s when Churchill realised he was a junior partner in the trio

and did not have much influence

Paton never liked the Russians

and was relieved of his command by Eisenhower due to his distrust of em

he was all for kicking them out of Germany
