Is the writing on the wall for the European Union

Don't you just love it when people talk about facts then resort to nonsense.
It is a fact. You defend the EU and twist comments to suit in every post you make concerning the EU and you very rarely if ever comment on a post which doesn`t contain the letters EU!
Don`t waste your time coming back at me with a deflective post either.

I note with some amusement the EU are applying to us for an extension to the agreed date they ratify the trade deal. Struggling to translate it or something.....

If you listened more carefully you'd know that Boris wants the same too. How often have I mentioned the deal to carry on dealing? Grow up. When politicians chat they appreciate other politicians problems. This one was a man that said we would out on a date so had to be. Cameron achieved some movement because he had too - they appreciate that fact.

Then who decided what - the leaders of the various countries in it.

You want to discuss facts, then offer your opinion not based on facts. That's comical.

European diplomats say EU officials are struggling to finish translating the Brexit trade treaty into the bloc's 24 official languages by the end of the month.

Strange that, there was a certain poster on here just the other day saying how good the Europeans are at languages.

EU, the gift that just keeps on giving.

Brexit deal DELAY: EU set to push back date before agreement fully in force (msn.com)

Cabinet Office minister Mr Gove and lead negotiator Lord Frost have both questioned why the EU would need longer than agreed to sign off on the pact.
The explanation is offered. The EU needs to translate the agreement into 24 languages, the UK does not need it translating at all. Perhaps the next agreement will be in Croatian or some other language that UK will have to translate.
The delay gives benefit to UK, but you are complaining?
The pact, agreed on Christmas Eve, is currently provisionally applied
Brexiteers are complaining that the rules are creating difficulties for them, and still complain when the EU are willing to be a little lax on enforcing the rules.
What more can be said?

It also suggests that UK are extremely dissatisfied with the outcome of Brexit, the Brexit that they wanted, that they need to look for minute details such as this to complain.

They are, there's 24 languages to translate the agreement into.
The UK does not need it translating into English.
Yet the UK still fails to understand the implications of the Agreement.

The delay gives no benefit to the UK as the rules are provisionally in place anyway, nor am I complaining, simply expressing my amusement at the EU. They don't seem to be able to get much right these days do they?

So your comment was a worthless point? Just an opportunity to ridicule something that you despise?
Your desperation is showing.

simply expressing my amusement at the EU. They don't seem to be able to get much right these days do they?
You would not consider anything they do as right, so your opinion is worthless.
You are so dismayed by the outcome of Brexit you feel the need to ridicule anything and everything EU related.
It's your Brexit, it's what you wanted, it's what you voted for. Don't blame the EU for your lack of foresight.

. They don't seem to be able to get much right these days do they
