Powerflush for 4 rads? Be cheaper to replace the radiators....

The rads are only a couple of years old. At the end of the day, the Company say they have to power flush in line with the boiler manufacturer requirements. If it is so that my warranty is valid, it makes sense to get it done. Just don't think I will be using the current Company who have quoted.

If your system is free of magnetite (rust) and debris, then a power flush is a complete and expensive nonsense. I would be asking any installer insisting on it, to provide proof of the boiler manufacturers insistence on this, where a system is perfectly clean. A complete drain and refill is normally enough and something which would need to be done anyway when installing a new boiler. A filter in the return to the boiler is though well worthwhile.

It is easy enough to get a rough idea of the condition of your system, just by running and catching some water from it, at a drain point.

so a company have attended a property, they have assesed the job, quoted for the job, but others on here know better than the company that has seen the job, yep sounds about right @Holly64 it can be done in 10 mins while you make the tea

Setting up
Powerflush half a day. I recommend new rad valves most of the time
Boiler installation half a day.
Cement flue
Wire controls
Commission
Clearing up
Hard days work....
If it was me I'd be quoting two days and if I get an early 2nd day then good for me.

I'd be more concerned about his quality...if he says its a days job

But Holly wants it done in a day to save money, so just go for it, pay for a bboiler with a long warranty , that wont be honoured because the system water is mud , and the boiler was never commissioned properly, so just call the manu and say but @Harry Bloomfield said it would be fine

Problem is a monkey can swap a boiler..... but a monkey won't do a good job.

These boiler companies will do anything to get out of their long warranties.
