You are now encouraging Dangee's and transam's racially motivated offensiveness by seeking to excuse and defend their comments.

e.g. Dangee was just stereotyping based on his personal experience, and transam is just trolling.
In transam's case his (and others) racially motivated hateful comments started long before I joined, so to excuse his (or their) behaviour as 'just winding you up' is blatant misrepresentation and obfuscation.

That isn't 'the truth', that is stereotyping and stereotyping is not 'the truth'. Stereotyping is forming prejudice or reaffirming it, or practising it.

You're having difficulty excusing and defending his behaviour. I can tell because you're switching tack.
In your defence and excuses for his behaviour you are, possibly inadvertently, encouraging his behaviour.

I'll ask again: don't you think your efforts would be better served in discouraging, even educating Dangee, if you sincerely believe he is mistakenly stereotyping a whole ethnic group?

I believe racism is a dangerous influence in society, It destroys lives, it creates division. It ought to be confronted wherever and whenever it is encountered.

No, not in my opinion, but you can use that as a justification for your defence, excuse and encouragement of racism, if you wish.

If you wish to continue excusing, defending and encouraging racism, that is your choice, and yours alone. No-one has misled you, nor oppressed you, nor deceived you into your choice.

I'm tempted to add that it wouldn't be the first time, but that would be a cheap shot and unworthy of me. Except I've done it now.
