I need to replace a broken swing bin under the kitchen sink.
I bought one from Screwfix - but the bin won't fit because of one of the pipes from the sink.
I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to reposition the pipe?

See below for a pic of the part that gets in the way.

See below for a very very rough drawing I made using Paint! That shows how I can maybe try to reposition the piping?

QUESTION: is it absolutely necessary to have the elbow bend?
The pipe is coming from the mini side sink.
Why can't I just ink it to the main kitchen sink - that has an elbow bend already?

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I don't think that would work. Not enough room I don't think.
The cost of the pipes would be quite expensive.
+ i would need to spend time fitting.

It might be better off me making a swing bin!
I looked up on youtube - nothing :(

You could make a bespoke waste for it, using a 40mm female waste adapting elbow then some 40mm waste pipe and swept elbows to connect to the other trap. You would want to use solvent weld, apart from the initial connection to the adapter of course to minimise the risk of anything leaking later down the line.
