Colour of lighting switches and sockets

I know this very much depends on individual preferences and taste but what do most people consider aesthetically pleasing with respect to the colour of the light switches and sockets as part of a high end home renovation project in which many of the sockets and switches will be visible?

Most if not all of my walls will be white (except some feature walls).

I was thinking of some Smokey glass or black nickel colour but don’t want the finger prints associated with highly polished versions but was wondering if having switches and sockets in a dark colour against a white wall background might be overpowering and spoil the clean effect.

By the same token, going all white sockets and switches seems to be a bit boring esp for a major refurb and wanting it to look modern.

My wife likes the Black and Chrome - we have that in the Kitchen, recently she wanted all the pull cord switches changed to black.
Handles are now often black - even windows trim
All a bit of a fad really
A close elderly friend of mine, would want gold colour everywhere , in a small cottage
so as you say, all depends on your taste

I see scores of cars and trucks every day with boring old black rubber tyres, and boring old transparent glass windscreens.

Have you tried it on UK electrical accessories? not saying it doesn't work, but UREA-formaldehyde seems quite different from the typical plastics they show in their examples.

For really high-end, you need the transparent accessories which you can paint or paper below to match your specific shade of white.
