Struggling to make out your description and photographs.

Is this not just two regular 2.5mm2 twin and earth cables??

hi sparkwright
No its not
its 2 lots of brown and blue no earth... the earth you can see is screwed in to a termnal on the socket and looped round one of the grey flex as in second pic. the 2 flex have NO earth in them

It's T&E that someone has stripped by pulling the CPC through the outer grey sheath, with both CPCs in the same piece of sleeving.

Thank you both

Thanks to all who helped took socket off before plaster came it was twin and earth. just confused me as all other double sockets had 1 green and yellow going to each of the terminals.

You have done that, with your final post. There is a Thanks and a Like button, on the lower right of each post, which might be invisible until you hover over the area, at least they are invisible on my system..

They are not invisible, at least not to me, but they are very feint until one 'hovers over the area'.

Kind Regards, John
