The unvaccinated.

Ask the NHS why. They will be getting rid of those people next year.

Part of this is a study involving visits to people and monitoring. Evidence is growing that being vaccinated does reduce the chances of cross infection in groups of people in the same place. Sounds a little tentative to me, 150,000 people or places. Not clear but that effect is expected . It's what vaccination usually does.

It will also be of course be more likely to keep people at work rather than off or reduce the period of time they are off and in some cases remove the need to find replacements if they die or finish up severely hampered in some way.

No numbers but there plenty of stories from respected doctors and news outlets confirming that the majority are unvaccinated.

What do the data on hospital admissions show, you ask?

Sept 2021 so just before Omicron..

Facts like these presented in the mainstream media are taken as read by Joe Public, simply because they are in the mainstream media. They are part of the intellectual diet of the unthinking, the too-busy-with-other-things-to-spend-time-questioning-it, and the downright ignorant; just another bit of gormless television alongside gritty dramas about lesbians on submarines and adverts for bingo and other forms of gambling.

Such numbers should never be taken at face value. The "more unvaccinated than vaccinated" claim was found to be based on a lie. The numbers that were released in Sept 2021 were of patients in ICUs between Jan 2021 and Jul 2021, i.e. times when far fewer of the population were vacccinated, and therefore, simply due to the laws of probability, more unvaccinated people than vaccinated would be in ICUs, as they would be in workplaces, pubs, prisons, DIY messageboards, kebab shops etc.

Are the current crop of talking heads quoting these popular but incorrect facts or have they got new figures?

nothing you come up with , after that ‘my employer’ concoction you gave us.

Your really do have a screw loose.

So now you dispute the fact:

I've had COVID
I've had both Az vaccines and a Moderna booster
I have a job working for a normal company

Well, i can prove all if i wanted to. But not on this crazy forum, obviously!

there are a number of subsequent studies that come to the same conclusion….being vaccinated significantly reduces the chance of being hospitalised.

Lady on the BBC news just now been on the transplant list for months. They have the organs she required but we're unable to do the op because of no intensive care beds and that's she says (so I assume she's been told by the hospital) is because of the beds being taken mainly by the unvaccinated.

Of course, I don't expect the anti-vax on here to accept this - no doubt the BBC will be accused of deliberately putting out lies and misinformation.

Why are you bothered, you "claim" covid is a hoax? Are you trying to impose your views on other people? You are obsessed with something you claim doesn't exist.

As far as I am aware the BBC always use unadulterated info from gov web sites as far as covid is concerned. They may also choose to let people know something.Eg months a go they did a bit on Israel - giving loads of people boosters as their health system was getting stressed again. C4 is similar. Then various people are interviewed. You listen and make your own mind up. Some virologists feel that the gov is currently mad - too much risk associated with what they have chosen to do. We'll see for ourselves in the near future..

Then comes people who don't believe the info the gov puts out. There is rather a lot of that. Especially info but some still don't believe it.

There is another type of person around now since freedom day. It's all over. There are even some around that still think covid is myth. One told my wife it is recently. She was wearing a mask. A few laugh. She wears one more often than some as she likes to spend a couple of days a week in a type of care centre. She wants her test to always be negative. She is well aware that people can catch it while walking around outside. People just need to be close.

Ive noticed its the unvaccinated who are ever so angry....I guess its because they know theyve made a wrong decision

personally Im very happy to be triple jabbed -it reduces my risk of being very ill, not totally no, but a lot.

Yeah, they are always the ones that claim vaccinated people to be panicking, or scared, and not thinking.
They don't seem to realise how silly they sound. Probably caused covid brain fog.

The curious thing is the tendency for them to see any one who takes any precautions against covid to be either scared or panicking.

The same goes on in some businesses when they are interviewed. It is currently. People had something planned and they cancel. A few may say that they are scared to go out. Not correct at all. They have decided what they wanted to do was unwise.

The gov plays a different game. They want people to be out and about and spending. Sometimes they need to interfere with that. One reason - getting into a situation where all people who need it can not be treated. They need to prevent that before it happens. However there are good reasons why they may choose to go too far into that direction providing they can just about cope even if stretched to a limit that can scarcely be met.

The modelling is often misunderstood. A series of curves showing outcomes. They are done ahead of time so that they can be compared with what actually is happening. The particular curve that is on indicates the eventual outcome. So say one curve indicates many millions needing treatment. That only matters if what is happening is following that curve. What is happening will follow some curve. Where that lies in relationship to the modelling indicates what will happen in the future. It's proved to be pretty reliable. Messed up a little now as infection curves and results as far as the NHS is concerned have changed. However only a relatively small proportion of the population has actually caught covid and there are s significant number of unvaccinated people plus some that haven't completed the course.
