Why do you live where you live?

I live here because i won't live there.
No way.
Here is nice.
There is not.
Hence i live here.
So there.

Idyllic. No flags draped in windows or on poles. Peaceful. Great neighbours. Absence of leg tattoos on local residents. Lots of space between us and those across the road.

On that last point, all the new (shi thole) estates being built these days seem to be building the houses closer together. Neighbours across the street from each other will be able to shake hands from their windows soon. Slums of the future.

For the lovely view

don't think I could live anywhere where crime rates were so high I would need to do that.
Criminals have cottened on to the fact that stealing from their next door neighbour has its disadvantages. Better the area better the tools say the thieves. Vans are fair game no matter where they are located. I guess you must be a lowly DIYer.(y)

Because I didn't realise how much I hated living in a city until I didn't.
As a child I always dreamed that one day I would like to live in the sort of area I am in now.

Agreed we live in a quiet town with low crime, but every few years seem to be visited by scumbags who target vans, sheds , garages etc, I also park my van to make life difficult for intruders, also fitted CCTV

With my pair of high powered binoculars from a particular window, I can watch Janet undress & change into the casuals she wears later in t'pub.

I know that she knows this, she occasionally waves.

I doubt that I could ever live anywhere else & not enjoy this simple pleasure.
