Where couldn't you live?

Please try to walk before you can run and don't assume you could not tolerate livng next to us. The fact is you could not afford it and that is a fact.

Whatever drugs you are on, your drug is going to be shorter in supply in the very near future. You either need to get off those drugs, or you need to learn how to live with a much reduced supply.

I will wait in the tall grass for you.

Of course not all dog owners are badly behaved.

However, a number of them give the rest a bad name, by such behaviours as:

a. Allowing dogs to bark incessantly

b. Dumping bags of their dogs faeces

c. Allowing them to roam free

d. Other ill-treatment

Point b is an interesting one. It seems to imply different levels of care. Those dog owners who DGAS (while their dogs certainly do), just let them carp anywhere.
Others bag it up, then drop the bag or (worse IMO) hang it in a tree. Are these people expecting a dog poo fairy to go round picking them up? Disgusting as it is, at least unbagged poo will eventually disappear. The bagged stuff will live on for a very long time.

It is hard to imagine the mind-set of these owners.

Round here, there was one resident in particular who put up a sign complaining of their garden being regularly shat in.

They put up a sign asking owners to desist.

Next thing, the lawn was covered in dog sh*t of all descriptions, bagged and unbagged.

Unbelievable.

There's one like that near me. When I politely asked him if it would be possible to put a stop to it, he seemed to think that as it was a pup that made it ok.
Two years later it still yaps all day despite not being a pup any longer.

These dogs are ill-trained and possibly not exercised enough.

A well exercised dog comes in and goes straight to bed!

But I have to say that not all dog owners are like this. My NDN has one and you rarely hear it.

By contrast, there's a guy down the road who walks his dog up towards us. Three times so far, I have gone into our back garden to hoik it out. On one occasion, it ran into the house, up the stairs, grabbed a soft toy and legged it out again.

Our cat came in and as soon as he sniffed traces of dog, his tail went all bottle brush. He was ****-scared.

The bloke is a forking nuisance and should be banned from keeping a dog. He can't even walk it without it escaping and causing havoc.

Each time I've spoken to him about it, but it makes no difference.

Smoked???

How close are you to next door?

ATM many yards difference between doors but smoke cig stench travels in warm, low breeze weather.

If someone comes to our front door to deliver a parcel or something and my OH etc opens and closes the door the stench often travels inside.

I've said it on another thread that my sense of smell is a bit too much.

I drink firewater now and then and its fine but if someone else has had a whiskly or a beer the smell, cant stand it.

Cig smells, dog smells and smell of fish being cooked is not for me.

.

Who says firewater these days?
All these descriptions of a gated community, smelly visitors, problems with receiving parcels ... is your home like this :)
