Personally I wouldn’t have minded if Starmer had been forced to resign, it would’ve given chance for somebody like Wes Streeting to become leader - a more aggressive politician and good at debating.

What resign over this nonsense

Apparently so it said on the news
Top cops were pulled off of over cases to investigate this rubbish

Who made the complaint / reported this nonsense in the first place

They should get the bill for the cost of the investigation and pay for it

Jeez us several officers investigating a curry and a glass of beer

You could not make it up

..a Prime Minister breaking the laws he himself set. Seems ridiculous if it were not true.

Meanwhile those who were absent whilst losing loved ones during the pandemic, gathered and cheered when Bozza announced his sacking resignation.

Yeah, apparently JohnD couldn't attend a funeral because nobody was allowed to attend one, it transpired that limited numbers could attend, it must have simply been that no-one wanted JohnD there, I can empathise with that.

It was tragic that nobody could visit dying relatives in care homes, those same rules applied to members of Govt and nothing has been suggested that they broke the rules.

Works drinks affairs, Boris got nailed, kier didn't, fair enough, although I'm sceptical about the reasons why a decision due Monday morning didn't appear until after Boris resigned.

It's politics mate.

Well Er 1980s

I voted Labour in my younger days, I was a Conservative at heart by the time Maggie came to power having lived through the 70's but I didn't vote for her simply because she was a woman, bigoted I know but that was my mindset in that era, it's not now. I voted for Blair in 1997?, after 5 years of new age socialism I realised it was all bollux and have voted Tory ever since.

This country has been far worse off during the last 12 years of Tory power than they were during the Blair years.

Pick almost any metric you like…..

That would mean that a few could pay respects but others were forbidden to attend. Similarly, folks could not be there to hold the hands of loved ones as they lay dying. Rules that didn't apply to Boris and his partying friends apparently.
I'm sure john was as thrilled with the rules as anyone.

In some areas, including mine, cremations were held behind closed doors and nobody was allowed to attend

crematoria were working flat out because they could not cope with the number of bodies stacked up in cold storage.

It was very difficult to get undertakers to collect a body because they were overloaded with work.

Some bodies were sent to crematoria outside the area if they had a gap in their schedule.

Filly is a disgusting ****

In the early days of covid just one or two people could go, sometimes nobody.
I do think this is a low blow at JohnD. You don't know how much it would've meant to him to have been there and I see no reason to be cruel. You don't look good.

It's politics mate.
Some are bound to say that even though there were very clear differences to Boris. I can say the same about him - he should have got more tickets/ The only reason he didn't was political.
