Dover...

The free trade deal we have with the EU, involving no tariffs
WRONG

it is not tariff free

For reasons known only to them, they have decided to test the limits on how the rules are implemented
WRONG

the UK have never complied to the NIP

More checks are carried out on the NI border than the entire EU land border
WRONG

it is simply untrue - it’s bullsh1t that was spread by Brexit lobby groups

We need a leader strong enough to walk away from the deal, go for a hard brexit
UK can’t do that.

40% UK exports go to EU

70% Nissan cars made in Sunderland go to EU - not sustainable under no deal
90% of British lamb exports go to EU - not sustainable under no deal

and same as thousands of other exports.

Poor Filly, wrong about everything as usual.

A new economic and social partnership with the United Kingdom

The agreement covers not just trade in goods and services, but also a broad range of other areas in the EU's interest, such as investment, competition, State aid, tax transparency, air and road transport, energy and sustainability, fisheries, data protection, and social security coordination.

  • It provides for zero tariffs and zero quotas on all goods that comply with the appropriate rules of origin.
  • Both parties have committed to ensuring a robust level playing field by maintaining high levels of protection in areas such as environmental protection, the fight against climate change and carbon pricing, social and labour rights, tax transparency and State aid, with effective, domestic enforcement, a binding dispute settlement mechanism and the possibility for both parties to take remedial measures.

If we have taken back control, how come our woes are the fault of the French?

Because we're now a pathetic, sad little isolationist island - on the outside looking in. We used to help make The EU laws, now we are at the mercy of those laws as a third country. Witness the ruin of large parts of our economy. See the miles of at first lorries, now cars trying to get to Dover - jamming the wheels of UK PLC. The Brexit reality.

Lucky we hold all the cards then, innit?

Lucky we hold all the cards then, innit?

It's not about holding cards Charlie. It must surely be obvious to even the most rabid of remainers that the current situation cannot carry on. FFS Germany calling for the free movement of goods from Russia to a satellite Russian state whilst calling for the blockade of free movement within the UK, mental, absolutely mental. How do you ratify that in tour own mind?

We don't hold all the cards, we know that, we also know that we need to arrive at a compromise, how do you do that with nasty duplicitous conniving c***s?.

Our exports to the EU are higher than they've ever been, partly because of our energy exports to them to help keep their lights on,

I think we hold a few more cards than you imagine, I also think the EU will be the authors of their own destruction.

it is also the fault of the French for allowing (and no doubt encouraging) them to set sail from their coastline and turning a blind eye to the trafficking operations on their land.

We used to stop them before they left France, but ... Brexit. The Le Touquet Treaty probably won't survive, if it hasn't already failed.

Also, the French stop thousands of immigrants. They just can't stop them all.

We're talking about the EU. How long is a piece of string?
But you told us you knew exactly what you voted for and that you had got what you wanted...

In reality you haven't got a clue about what you're spouting!
