There's no rule, standard or anything else which says refugees have to go to a particular country. We should "just" control who comes here...

I don’t but that doesn’t alter the fact that most refugees that reach the UK come from France which is a pretty safe place. Why, there’s even a few Brits on this forum living over there too. Love the place. Keep telling us how it is so much better than the UK.

guess what, Turkey already has 3.8million, it’s full.

He can't accept that acceptance rates are high where ever they come from. The part you quoted refers specifically to small boat people which s where they all come from. A large proportion are genuine claimants other wise they would not be accepted.
Italy has a similar problem. The crossing is more difficult. Bodies wash up on beaches. Other aspects of the problem exist as well.
That is a straw man argument Notch.
The real argument is whether these people are actually refugees at all.
Fact. That isn't relevant. They want to come to the UK. More want to go somewhere else. While you might not like that this is how it is.

The point i was making is that when these people gain Irish citizenship they will have the right to enter the UK and settle.
There are 350,000 foreigners living in the Irish Republic, Mrs Varadkar wants to import 1 million immigrants, these people will want citizenship as well, that means they have the freedom to travel to the UK under the CTA.
Why don't they seek asylum in Israel or Egypt, both countries are a lot closer than Europe.
