Even Keir doesn’t want 'open borders' to help the NHS.

That might be the case if they weren't paying but should imagine they don't lack for punters who'll jump at the chance to get on board.

Dont worry.

Braverman is on the case. Her history on this subject should inspire confidence that she can stop it happening

No, in my book its a criminal act and they should be prosecuted. Not sure we have any jurisdiction over what happens in France though ?
It's a market created by the system that insists asylum seekers must arrive, by any means possible, in order to claim asylum.

If the same amount of effort was put into removing and preventing the need for such a market, as is put into the propaganda trying to stop refugees crossing, blaming asylum seekers, and the criminals, there would be a safe and legal alternative to crossing the channel in dinghies.

The context was - before we blame others for letting them die, we should remember they chose to leave a safe country on a vessel unfit for the passage.
That shows how desperate they are to try and improve their lives. And they won't do that by relying on state handouts.

...

Is it a case of the ends justify the means, so put up and shut up?

Not if it's a case of the Government intentionally manipulating the system and accommodation failures to create and intensify anti-refugee sentiment.
That's blatant manipulation of the electorate, very Trumpesque style.

"Not" to what?

What manipulation?
How would ballsing up accomm intensify antipathy towards refugees? If they wanted that there's plenty of immediate material, on those running into the bushes, or appearing on the prison lists.
There isn't plenty of material of asylum seekers running into bushes, etc.
What is the point of an asylum seekers risking their life to cross the channel, then when they land on a beach, running into the bushes?
Instead of being a legal asylum seeker, they immediately become an illegal immigrant. Your assumption is illogical.

By the Government failing in its duty towards asylum seekers on processing, it forces those unsuccessful asylum seekers into the black market or even crime in order to survive.

By the Government failing in its duty towards asylum seekers on accommodation, it creates those media stories about asylum seekers being housed in hotels, etc. Or even worse, by accommodating asylum seekers in unacceptable conditions it creates the media stories about asylum seekers protesting about their accommodation facilities, etc.

The Government's approach to the whole saga is designed to direct the blame toward the asylum seekers, and away from the Government's failures.

How come - they made it. Some people swim across now and again.
Do these people train, practice and put many hours of prep in?
Do they secure professional pilots and escort boats?
Do the support boats show the appropriate lights and shapes, with supporting electronic automatic identification?
Do they occasionally drown?

see a difference? apart from the drowning?
Here's one for you. Blair and co clearly got it under control quickly LOL these things end when countries settle down

A problem possibly caused by the UK participating in such conflicts under his watch. The hunt for WMD resulted in 100s and 1000s of deaths and millions of displaced people.

that I agree with.

but attacking any body is an offence regardless. Even though I understand mitigating circumstances it can't be allowed

No matter what the weather we make it our duty to pick our clientele up to house them in the finest hotels, to keep our shareholders happy.
Unbelievable Jeff.

A £4.4b jack off several trades plc with ~5.2% profit. Employs over 50,000 people. Has acquired a swiss immigration company with a turn over of £97m for £39m, I assume the £39m consideration means that.

One refugee who got here and was admitted described his trip. It included a flight and food at times. It wont have been a normal commercial flight and only part of the trip. Other transport used as well. Seems all do not walk amazing distances and it's highly organised.

So as I have mentioned before the Tory backed the move as well. I don't think Iraq figured in that graph I posted. Many people wonder what that one was really about. He's already attacked another country and that may well be a clue.

Syria problems were instigated by the USA and some others became involved. It all didn't go down well which is why Assad is still around, IS types caused the problem. The group that the USA helped were being defeated by them combined with Assad's own troops. Loads of bombs as a result,

This is where you using a law knocked up in 1951 is so out of date in 2022.

Indeed, many people smugglers are not operating out of Calais. The transport from place to place, in stages, is well organised in advance.
Calais is just a staging point, and I doubt if there are many people smugglers operating out of Calais, or touting for business there.
Any 'people smugglers' caught in Calais, or even Northern France will be just the 'taxi drivers'.

That isn't true based on the under cover reporter findings. Quite a few under cover reporters have exposed the networks linking the smugglers to customers. These are serious gangsters operating in Calais and wider France. Calais is a nasty place when I cross with a vehicle I tend to opt for Dieppe now despite the extra journey time. I feel sorry for the people who live there. The local authorities seem to think the answer is to move them on the UK asap, but that just encourages more to come.

With Italy set to take a tougher stance - it may be a little harder.

There are as many reports of Europe-wide smugglers gangs, including some in the UK. As I said, I suspect those arrested in Calais, and the proximity are just the 'taxi drivers'.
People traffickers have concocted a ‘slick’ Europe-wide racket to smuggle migrants in small dinghies across the Channel to the UK, according to a National Crime Agency boss.
Director of threat leadership Chris Farrimond was talking after dozens of arrests – including six men and a woman in London – in what is believed to be the biggest ever international operation targeting criminal gangs suspected of people smuggling.
