Is it because multibillionaires and tax dodgers get an easy ride from Tories and don't want that to change?

Does Murdoch pay UK tax?

Does Viscount Rothermere?

That explains the right wing MSN.

It does not explain the absence of a left wing MSN, which was my question.

Some say the BBC is a left-wing news broadcaster - i think it was on the NewsWatch programme it was said when they get complaints from right-wing and left-wing observers they know they're doing something right.
Rachel Maddow on MSNBC is left-wing, or whatever they call them over there. CNN is seen as being 'progressive', whatever that means.
Usually the broadcasters appearing to be left-wing are mostly attempting a balanced viewpoint of events. Something the right-wing news cannot comprehend.

All British news outlets, be they TV, radio or print, are left-wing, and all British institutions, from the police to education and beyond are left-wing.

Right-wing is a misunderstood concept - the popular view of right-wing is that which the left wing media has promulgated, i.e. violent, racist, football hooligan, nazi etc.

Right-wing simply means living within your means. If you can't afford it, do without until you can. Where now will you see that sentiment in any sphere of British public life? We are billions, trillions and squillions of pounds in debt to other countries and no political party wants to stop the spending. "Right-wing" has been demonised and driven out of British life.

It is rooted in the flaw in a democratic system: wealthy business owners give money to political parties and MPs, in exchange they get to influence policy.

If you are a billionaire media tycoon, you might want to donate to the party that enables tax avoidance and pushes to reduce power of unions and workers rights

The UKs political system is weak and allows democracy to be bought. Until we have a stronger constitution and get rid of FPTP, the right will always reign

You dont get such benefits donating to left wing parties -their money mostly comes from unions.
of course Tony Blair won power 3X, but then he was supported by Murdoch..............Blair wasnt terribly left wing

TBF politics goes through stages -there was a period when unions had all the power and Labour had tons of money and influence.

You know, when i hear you say that in the voice of Elmer Fudd it kinda makes some sort of sense.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, Notch, but your post has contradictions:

Until we have a stronger constitution and get rid of FPTP,.......

This has always been the case. Contradicted by

Labour CAN do it - sometimes - regardless of the lack of FPTP.

But regardless, the decades-weary "trope" remains.
Surely any party worth its salt and with real designs on taking up government would have lanced it long ago?

Labour is currently in power and has tons of money and influence.

The term "right wing" is utter garbage and leads away from intelligent debate of policy into tribalist grunting matches. This term is normally only used by lefties when talking about the other lot, as an insult.

There is absolutely no connection between monetarism and racism, but both are apparently "right wing". So if you don't have the capability of debating the rights and wrongs of monetarism, you can sling the "right wing" mud and imply that the other lot are racist.

"Left wing" is also mainly an insult but is a more cohesive term than "right wing", as everything associated with the left usually involves big government and therefore higher taxes and more state control of the population. Socialism is basically diluted communism, there's no fundamental difference.

So I think we've all agreed that the concept of "Tory NHS Cutbacks" don't actually exist. Obviously the tories haven't been AS generous as labour over the years but definitely no cutbacks. This reflects worse on Labour than the Tories, as they continually bang on about these cutbacks that they know are fiction. Sadly their blinkered followers actually believe them, so they successfully get their votes based on lies.

Dont think I've seen anyone mention outside influences at play restricting political parties of any persuasion in what they can and can't do.
Example being unfettered immigration, nett zero, trans.

First bib, I don't think right wing can simply be defined as living within your means although I partly see where you're coming from on that.

Second bib, I think there is a valid debate to be had about some members of society (at all levels) not living within their means. Too much to go into here. The introduction of easy credit, keeping up with the proverbial Joneses, or simply the desire to have material things that one desires as opposed to requires. Many of us can be guilty of that to at least some degree. For example I live in a property that isn't grand by any means, however in reality as someone who lives alone I could be living in a small one bed flat saving £x on my mortgage each month.

I think where we need to be careful is differentiating between people who live beyond their means needlessly (to whatever extent), and those who yes are living beyond their means but are doing so not in a materialistic way but simply to keep themselves and if applicable their family fed and watered.

As with most things, these topics are multi-faceted.

this country doesnt have unfettered immigration

Really. Do you think we have more immigration that we know about than say the 50's 60's and 70's.?
How many failed asylum seekers get deported?
