Greenpeace office invaded by GB News

16 years ago. People are fed up with the ****s now. Would you be happy with strangers climbing onto the roof of your family home to protest just because they didn’t agree with something you did or said as part of your job?
I'd say if you're in public office, and you take a decision to go against growing public opinion, you should expect such protests.
There's no doubt about this policy (licencing more oil & gas exploration) being a divisive policy, probably up near the top of the public's interest.

Of course, you could do a Maggie T and prepare the ground first, something like tightening the law around protests, etc.

That's not what it says.
A reminder of your question:
Was it an official Greenpeace action? I've answered. What do you think?

What evidence is there that it wasn't?
- Statement to clarify? Denouncement etc.

Has the CEO etc. claimed it was not a Greenpeace action? Have they denounced it? Have they defended it? Do you not think pasting on their website with an in depth defensive position (nobody home, trained not to cause damage blah blah), is not endorsement?

Do you think they would allow their logo on the banner if it wasn't.

GB News is like a breath of fresh air in this rotten old country. You can agree or disagree with their views but they are a part of what should be a balance, which we've never had before.

Most of those who moan about it either haven't watched it or just think that all non-lefty views should be silenced.
Absolutely zero balance on gb news , just a mouthpiece for the hard right and hard of thinking. Andrew Neel would have ensured a more intelligent debate

Blup

Just because something is unbalanced doesn't mean it can't inform.
The Guardian is a left-wing bias anti conservative government news paper, but it can still inform. As long as you accept that GB news has an agenda, then you can treat the information appropriately.

Doesn't seem like public opinion is on the side of the protestors.

It all depends on your own perspective. I think people in history, like Mengele, Mussolini, Franco, Oswald Mosely, etc, and organisations like KKK, Ustase, BNP, etc, would consider the current UK government to be left leaning.

YouGuv.uk?
Formed by Nadhim Zahawi, ex Chancellor under Truss, Stephen Shakespeare, ex Tory pollster and unsuccesful London Mayoral candidate, and ex-Jeffrey Archer's campaign director.

Nothing wrong with protests. People climbing on the roof of your home because of a work decision you made is not acceptable.

So would I but (a) it’s actually not against the majority public opinion and (b) I would expect those protests to be in public places, not private ones.

and when GB news turns up at your office "uninvited". don't expect them to leave.

Do you have a different poll that shows public support?

I stated "part of a balance", not that it's balanced in itself. The other news channels are full of lefty institutionalised propaganda, so it's good to have the other side of the coin.

I'm perfectly capable of understanding that they have an angle on issues, and watch with that in mind. Just as I bear Sky or BBC's woke lefty prejudice in mind if I watch or read their version of reality.

Total disgrace imo

That a PM s residence can be invaded by protestors

P poor security
What are you suggesting, that all his numerous houses should be permanently protected by armed guards at all times?

What about other politicians, presumably they need their own armies too.

Where do you stop? Council leaders? TV personalities? By this logic we should all have a few armed guards each, all on shifts 24 hours.

Presumably the people who did this will be dealt with somehow. That's how it works, we deal with issues as they happen. No harm was actually done.

It’s no part of any balance to invade a green peace office. The beeb was a significant mouthpiece for no deal brexhit. To call sky woke is to voice a crazy far right conspiracy theory .
