It's lunchtime. I tend to have my lunch at my desk. I've read the news, dealt with the emails, looked up my horoscope, written some poetry, written to my MP, played some music, watched a Youtube video, cut the grass, vacuumed the house, played a round of golf, done the ironing, and I'm bored now so I'll see what's going on on DIYnot.
And as sure as night follows day, some posters are making outlandish accusations agaianst me.

This time the majority of the world (not the anglo saxons mind you) support not murdering babies with bombs, do not support ethnic cleansing and do not support internment.
This is not the beginning of the end for isreal, but it is the end of the beginning.... the west is bankrupt, the $ has gone, the collapse has started and there is no stopping it.
The new world order has arrived...its just not the one our masters thought it would be. The world is multi polar and the global south is now dominant.
In this context what is happening has happened through history with every empire that has ever existed. It rises, it dominates, it declines, it ends......
the wars that occur at the begining also occur at the end...its know as the Thucydides trap

These people hate each other and will take joy in watching each others' children burn. And this is the real problem.
War won't fix that, only peace talks. It will take decades though, as it did in NI, and of course, England - did we ever really get over the civil war. Still hatred across the nation, just most people can't remember why ...

This is the whole thing in a nutshell as with any conflict. Yes it seems a simple somewhat naïve thing to say, however the answer ultimately is rarely found when the approach is one of violence and counter violence.

And before any of the usual muppets start, I'm not in the above statement making any comment one way or the other about what's currently unfolding with this situation and/or who's right and who's wrong.

Unfortunately, on a global scale, humankind will never be able to truly live at peace nation to nation, culture to culture. We're collectively incapable of achieving it. I've said before, imagine how much better the world would be if we all just got along ...
