Remember when a hospital in Ukraine was hit last year? The BBC was quick to attribute the incident to a Russian missile, despite their denials, saying it was a Ukrainian missile that fell short. Now, a hospital in Gaza is hit and similar claims are made by the Israeli government and most people are not so quick to condemn, calling for an investigation, a call to verify conflicting claims: it can't be Israel, surely, they say. They're the good guys, right? They were the ones who were attacked in the first place, so they have the right to defend themselves.
The problem is, Netanyahu cannot be trusted. He is a war criminal, a crook and a first rate cad.
When the journalist from Al Jazeera was shot the IDF denied all knowledge and only admitted it when video footage of the soldier taking the shot came to light. Now they simply say he will face no charges and nothing is done about it. Israel gets away with it. It always does. America will always stand behind them and dare Iran to do anything about it, while the UK just nods along.
I'd like to think Israel wouldn't target a hospital and a church where Palestinians sought food, shelter and sanctuary from the storm but i cannot believe a regime which has constantly ignored international law at the expense of a people who're being pushed from their homeland. Israel can pass laws to tell me it's all legal but it doesn't make it right in any sense. This is not justice. This is murder. Taking an eye for an eye makes people blind to the truth, regardless of religion, and i have to ask: how many more have to perish for Israel to stop this insanity? Is the price for justice ten Arabs for every Jew? A hundred? A thousand? Where does it stop this time?
Today is declared a Day of Rage across the Islamic world and who among us can honestly say they blame them - would you not feel the same?
