Hello!
i bough a couple of these

is it possible to wire the wire that goes from the circuit board to the alarm, to wire it to a relay that on the other end of the relay i could wire into it some kind of self dialing mobile phone?

Thanks

You could have it short a button to dial the number assigned to that button.
Then what is it going to do? You'd need to hook up the audio out from the alarm to the mic input of the phone.

Although I'm agreeing with Mottie.
Search for "GSM bike alarm".

...or there are some lovely little ESP8266 development boards available, incorporating GSM and GPS, that would do the job:

Then, all you would require is a suitable enclosure, battery, voltage regulator and some programming skills!

Search for "GSM bike alarm".
Motties response is probably more a "Here we go again!" :D

yes it is entirely possible. there have been GSM diallers to add to burglar/fire/alert alarms for years so perfectly sensible to add to a bicycle alarm or anything else you could think of. Whether there is actually one specifically intended for such an application I do not know.

So the thief nicks the bike plus a handy mobile phone plus an alarm?

OK so we've had our laughs, as to the OP's serious question; In my opinion I believe the suggestion you have made is not viable, however there are tracker systems such as Vodaphone curve and Pitpat which are designed for pets (seem popular with marathon runners etc) and Global Telemetrics for vehicles (Seem popular for plant hire - see Youtube).

I assume there are ongoing costs for all of these but I have no personal experience of costs or efficacy of any of them.

If you want to know that a thief is riding/wheeling off with your bike right now and you are nearby then it can be a good idea, better still lock it in yer saddlebag if you have one. obviously oit has got to be easy for you to remove when not needed.

Years ago somone I knew made a video recorder alarm, little portable model to sit near the video.
After he made the prototype he was very pleased with it, set up up and asked his children to "steal it".
He soon learned a lesson as they took his video plus alarm all at one swipe , he had not thought of that one!

The description is hard to read as in german, but it dose not really states that it connects to a mobile phone

Just for the record, this is not an alarm for a mobile biKe! it is an alarm for a static trailer

LOL. Yes.

When I first started on security alarms years ago, I read a couple of books (No internet back then).
Two thoughts stood out.
Whatever the mind of man can create, the mind of man can also destroy.
Everything you put in the way of criminals could help, you fight them with sound and sight - make them be seen/heard. It all helps, even just spending an extra 50p on a window lock helps a bit.
In essence, you make it harder for them, although never absolutely impossible it will make them move their intentions to easier tasks.

So, essentially, nothing is foolproof but yer tries yer best and makes it more difficult for them.

With GSM phone type reporting, can give you some warning, protect it to make it work for as long as possible before it is taken/destroyed. Sometimes a bit of crafty planning is all that is needed

It doesn't connect to a phone - that board IS the phone. Needs a SIM card installing and the device programming.
Similar item with English description: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313795882977

However there are preconfigured modules similar to this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355598498618 which are designed for the purpose and do not require programming other than configuring the phone number(s).
Example video of how to use:
there are plenty of others.

it says
2. Send SMS alert messages to up to 6 preset mobile phones when any alert input is triggered.

dose this mean it will only send a text message and not a phone call?
it says 5-15V. dose this mean that the input from the alarm must be of that for it to work?

Do you know if you can insert a sim card into it?

Thanks

PS
Soz did not see vid! Bit confused
do you need smart phone with wifi to set it up
