to me a saw will have a perhaps 185 blade a small saw will have a say 4" blade with a minisaw perhaps 75mm or less

I have the same Bigall and I think its 25mm max. Good saw, but I have occasionally done 2 passes if its been close to the max.
 
Yes, however the smaller one is great for most of the jobs I need it for. Rarely do I need a full size model.
On the other hand I have a "proper one" and never think I could do with a smaller one/ thing. - A multi saw though, now that's a different matter, next time I have a need for one that would make my life easier and the job quicker and neater I am getting one

its good for cutting flooring under cabinets with 6" plinths providing the saw can go full plunge without the blade tip doing dammage under the board and yes an inch /25.4mm although from memmory its a tiny fraction over 26mm
