So they found them, processed them, dealt with the appeals, served them notice to leave, rounded them up, detained them, and deported them, all in 4 months since taking power?

France are doing a similar thing, using an island about 20 miles from France.
Australia had a much bigger deterrent: 1700kms of sea between them and Indonesia.
I guess you consider a strategy that has so far cost Australian tax payers $10 billion Aust dollars for 1000 refugees “a success”
