Replacing a LED light

I have, I think, TP-Link with two billy bookcases, and a lidi one with the centre, and yes it is hard to adjust them to look the same, but does it matter?

I have cheap Eveready GU 10 from Poundland, and I can adjust the colour temperature on the Smart Life app, but an internet hunt has failed to say what the two limits are, but at £5 each they do not break the bank.

You can alter how bright, and also colour, and if you really want to, set them to change colour in sync with music, it uses your phones' microphone.

I have seen the 220 diameter flat panel lights that have adjustable colour temperature via a switch inside warm/cool/daylight. Some can do it by flicking the light switch on and off and it will cycle though the colours.

Mine do either - you can permanently select one of the 3 settings, or opt for the switch-on-and-off-quickly to cycle. The latter is useful, but comes unstuck if you have some lights with emergency backup, as you then end up with a mix of colours after a power interruption.

You're doing nothing to convince me that "smart" lighting, "smart" switches, home automation etc is anything but a toy to amuse the trivial and the ADD sufferers.

Also, the enlite has a 70mm cut out and the JCC has a 74mm. Will that be okay?

sorry @AndyPRK, I just added the info on the cut out size differences. Do you think that will be okay or are they so precise?

you will probably need to enlarge the hole slightly.
Maybe with a half moon file, or a blade to scrape (or cut) around the hole
until it fits

Once you have done the first, you will get an idea of the increase required to make them fit

Having purchased the JCC Fireguards, I now need to select the bulbs. I am looking at the toolstation range and nothing comes anywhere near 4000 lumens, which I think is the light of my current unit. I am looking for something similar, in light terms. What bulbs (in cool white) would I need to achieve a similar output please?

You've currently got 8W lights which produce 620 lumens. Why do you want to change to 4000lm ones?

And why is Andy recommending a bulb which produces 345lm when you said you wanted 4000? And currently have 620?

And why is the eBay seller saying "With a bulb wattage of 50 W" when the box says 3.6W? (BTW -a 50W LED would put out about 4000lm)

One is the amount of light emitted, the other is the colour temperature of that light. Two totally different things.
