Hi brought a Vauxhall Astra and realised there is no locking nut for wheel and also some strange locks on the wheels any advice on where to get one and how to unlock these

Thanks mate what about this tried flat screwdriver no luck, also where can I get locking wheel nut for it

These are often replaced with normal threaded screws because the original one gets chewed up......its a standard 6mm thread.
Unfortunately the steel screw reacts with the alloy wheel and this is what you get.
Flood the thing with penetrating oil, don't knack the head if you can, and persevere.
Always grease the replacement on assembly.

Once you have soaked with penetrating oil then try a Flat screwdriver with a square shaft, the square shaft will let you apply more leverage with an adjustable spanner/wrench.
 
Grease, but not copper as it accelerate corrosion of aluminium

IME a hex headed nut is easier to grip firmly.

I would probably use stainless.

Nickel grease is correct, but I expect ceramic brake grease would be OK
 
These don't seem to be fashionable these days (essential tool when I used to mess about with motorbikes), but the wide flathead bits are useful.

Hence the nickel grease.
Yes, sorry, stainless screws will corrode much slower and the gerease may stop a reaction with the aluminium. I did not appreciate the benefit of stainless at first thought.
