There, I corrected that for you. How can they possibly prove they have valid reasons to seek asylum? They destroy all their paperwork, so they cannot prove anything. So all they need do is convince the authorities, that they have a valid need, verbally. Their legal team will prime them on exactly what they should say to the authorities, to be accepted.
The asylum seeker has to provide substantive evidence of who they are and their reasons for claiming asylum.
I agree the system isn’t as good as it should be, but to claim Asylum Seekers can simply Chuck away their paperwork and make it all up is for the birds

As for sending illegal immigrants back or indeed finding out which original part of the world they come from, we have tests to ascertain this now. Funny how they aren't used for this purpose though.
If they are genuine, then why are they advised to dispose of paperwork before arrival here? They are well versed, in exactly what they need to say, by their legal team - not difficult to pass muster, most will need help with their English.
