Republicans target same sex marriage

so you accept that between 1996 and 2013..

was incorrect.

phew.. I thought that was going to take 100 pages.
The SC rendered the DOMA legislation unlawful and unconstitutional. Null and void from the date of conception. It allowed same sex couples to claim tax rebates they were denied during said period.

its good that we can draw a line under your incorrect statement. i.e. when you said.
never deemed illegal in the eyes of the law
You meant apart from between 1996 and 2013.

The only nuance I would add that is that DOMA didn't stop same sex marriage being legal within the states which actually allowed it. During those years, I think that was really only about eight states. DOMA S3 did, however, make it illegal under federal law. Also, a different section of the Act meant that other states didn't have to recognise same sex marriages performed in other states.

From wiki:

Section 3 codified non-recognition of same-sex marriages for all federal purposes, including insurance benefits for government employees, social security survivors' benefits, immigration, bankruptcy, and the filing of joint tax returns. It also excluded same-sex spouses from the scope of laws protecting families of federal officers, laws evaluating financial aid eligibility, and federal ethics laws applicable to opposite-sex spouses.

But she may need contraception for the reasons outlined in the NHS link.
Why on earth are the NHS talking about 'anal fisting' with regards to women. I find this nothing short of abusive. My God, the NHS needs reform like the desert needs the rain.

My initial point about contraception was in reply to biker's...

But Noseall wondered if trump would sterilise gays, and you replied...

which kinda muddied the waters, no?
Not for me, I've been on about pregnancy the whole time.

That is the point of contraception "contra-conception". Not having an egg and sperm also works.

They don't usually need IVF, IUI is safer and also works.
