Same here, same day call backs and if there any concerns you get an immediate appointment. Also brilliant, my GP offers in person or phone call appointments

the point is they are diagnosing over the phone which was in answer to your query about phone diagnosisNothing to do with this scheme.
i know how long its been in for and not reading far too much into it . Hopefully it works with the vastly increased A&G and the GPs make a few more bob out of it and take the staff out for a nice slap up meal at xmasThe GP is only looking for pre referral advice, you are reading far too much into it. It has been like this for years and you haven't complained about it. The only change now is the £20 payment to try and get GP's to use it more widely.

Great idea, keep morale up.the GPs make a few more bob out of it and take the staff out for a nice slap up meal at xmas
If it reduces unnecessary referrals it could reduce waiting times to see a consultantproviding its not you or one of your family dying because you have then waited several weeks if not longer to get told its a referral you need
phone appointments can be used safely and successfully for lots of gp appointments.the point is they are diagnosing over the phone which was in answer to your query about phone diagnosis
prescription review is not a diagnosis do try and keep upphone appointments can be used safely and successfully for lots of gp appointments.
It makes sense for things like prescription reviews etc.
I’ve not seen our practice push phone appointments, are you finding otherwise?

Should make a big difference to hospital waiting lists.Sums it up perfectly.

I don’t see the evidence GPs are pushing for itHopefully it works with the vastly increased A&G and the GPs make a few more bob out of it and take the staff out for a nice slap up meal at xmas
GPs are not offered £20 every time they consult a specialist using the scheme.“It follows an announcement in January that GPs would be offered £20 every time they consult a specialist using the scheme“
Sums it up perfectly.
there are different types off blood tests they only check for whats on the list given by the doctorI personally think the NHS like many huge businesses suffers from protectionism.
one department doesnt seem to be able to share information with another
my wife got referred from Endocrinology dept to nuclear medicine dept for tests. The nuclear department did a blood test, from the results he levels were shown to be out, so they said we need to refer that back to the endocrinology.
So endocrinology dept wouldnt make decision based on the test results so requested their own blood tests...but to get tablets my wife needed she had to go to the Gp....who wouldnt prescribe meds based on the test results.............so requested another set of blood tests
My wife thus had to have 3 blood tests...........for the same thing, just because NHS clinicians wouldnt accept another depts test results.
Do other people have this experience?

childish strawman, try debating like an adult for a change.prescription review is not a diagnosis do try and keep up
