Donald Trump will make the world a safer place

Crimea was part of Russia for longer than it was part of Ukraine.
The population is majority Russian
It is not easy to find much evidence to show what Crimeans feel, however here is a quote from somebody who went and interviewed them and gathered data:

“……Instead, many identified as ethnically Russian, but with few cultural or political ties to Russia. Many others identified as between Ukraine and Russia: as Crimean. Meanwhile, many younger people did not identify, ethnically, even as Russian speakers, rather they identified as Ukrainian citizens”

The claim that Crimean citizens wanted to become Russian citizens is not supported by any available evidence

The E.U doesn't need to be involved with the U.S at all. The U.S could do this on its own.
No it cant, Trump is trying and failing miserably

USA has no chance of neutralising China as a threat on its own, Gdp of USA isn’t much different to China

We are talking economically and politically….and to do that you need Chinas biggest trade partners to work together.

The EU is involved since Ukraine aspires to membership of the club.
They've more sense than UK.

Regardless of the EU, European nations have experience of what happens when a militarily strong nation invades its neighbours.

The EU was set up by men determined to prevent a recurrence.

So the Germans set it up so that they wouldn’t try to invade their neighbours a third time?

It was only West germany at the inception of the EU. So there was little risk of Russia invading West Germany.
Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and West Germany.

In an interview Mrs T. recalled her early days in parliament when the UK was in the process of applying for EU membership, and she met MacMillan who told her another war in Europe could not, must not, happen again. He'd experienced the misery of trench war in WWI, and at a ceremony to commemorate the liberation of Bergen-Belsen 80 years ago one of the last survivors of the Holocaust was there to remind another generation to not forget.

The rise of the far-right around Europe should serve as a warning to remain vigilant.

The Germans helped set it up because post WWII they have on the whole been a shrewd bunch, as they have addressed their history and tried to avoid a repetition...

They have compulsory education for kids that lay bare the atrocities committed...

Compare that with the UK sweeping the Empire atrocities under the carpet educationally wise!

But to a certain extent, post WWII the UK and the US too learnt from the history of WWI and it's aftermath...

Instead of sowing the seeds of another re-run, they helped rebuild Germany (and Japan), and until recently have held the far right at bay...

But as ever external problems are being exploited in many countries around the world, and the far right are taking advantage...

The far right does that by stirring up out dated prejudices against countries like Germany - prejudices that simply don't have a place in reality nowadays...

And of course any foreigners are an easy target!

And sadly there are too many ignorant people who have an inability to learn from history that they can recruit to blindly follow their fascist ideology!

It is a fact that the EU has helped prevent a similar war over the past decades...

And history will show that the current situation in Europe (and having war on the horizon) was to a certain extent fueled by the instability brought about by brexit which has encouraged certain political groups and certainly encouraged poo tin who sensed a weakened Europe...

But those with an irrational anti-EU stance will continue to ignore history and defend the indefensible!

Yawn. As soon as I saw you had quoted me I just knew it would be another of your anti Brexit posts. I wasn’t wrong.
