I wonder what the side effects will be? probably worse than global warming - as a species we are really farking up our planet, I wonder if we will be the least successful species of all time.
if we do dim the sun (or we reduce the amount of heat we get from it) we will probably continue to burn fossil fuels for longer, so we will combat more greenhouse gases by reflecting more heat from the sun - sounds like a recipe for disaster

Yeah the government wouldn’t let anymore spray the skies with chemicals to affect the weather and temperatures now would they.

They seem to be testing a couple of things. One is something to do with brightening clouds. The other seems to be about global dimming where they release particulates high up in the atmosphere.

Who's going to paint the clouds!
There could be massive unintended consequences.
But if it works, it might be many times cheaper than cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
