A not so bright idea-Experiments to dim the SUN

That's what science is trying to discover by experimentation. That's how it works. Do you not want any research carried out at all?

What poison? the Mail article is just a scare story, no one is planning to destroy the world.
Oh so it’s harmless sun reflecting particles then, right you are.

The temperature it deflects, where will that go ? It can’t space into space, so it’s got to go somewhere

I’ve stated that numerous times, yes.

If you turn out to be wrong and things start getting really bad, might you support this sort of solution, as a last resort.

I think the idea is that it does go back into space. I know less about geo-engineering than climate science, though.

This diagram is very complex. I have forgotten what bits of it mean! But I think the idea is to increase the part that goes straight back into space:

I mean a small percentage might do, but not enough to make any difference.

And that’s if it manages to reflect it, which won’t happen
You know that but the scientists don't? Ok.

Nope.

The measurements on that diagram I posted show that the earth is absorbing 0.6W/m2 more than it is releasing. That is why the earth is warming. If the figure of 77.0, for the energy reflected by the clouds and atmosphere, could be increased to 77.6, that would stop the earth from warming any further. I have just been reading that it would cost about $20 billion a year to achieve this. Which isn't a lot, in the big scheme of things.

I believe research is good, which leads to the correct answer most of the time, good or bad. I don't stick my head in the sand.
We will waste millions on this ****, I wonder which one of labours contractors will get it ?
