Certainly start with Bliar, there must be a prima facile case for the U N to investigate. But if, for example, there is a credible suggestion from SF colleagues about serious breaches of the Geneva convention it is appropriate to investigate. The manner of the investigation is crucial and the last thing needed is another no win no fee lawyer paying locals for leads. The vast majority of Soldiers abide by rules and want to abide by them.UK SF are some of the most highly trained soldiers in the world. On Op Banner they had a very large price on their heads. So first of all, we weren't there, so we cant pass judgement on them. If anyone wants to string someone up for war crimes, start with Blair, who sent us into an illegal war. Any perceived threat, any alarm movements, vocal or physical, SF will deal with, our SF are responsible for saving thousands of lives, since their creation. In any conflict zone stealth is paramount, every conflict will have innocents killed. We will have to wait until the "Accusers" testify in court.

Exactly this. Leave it to the MOD to investigate. Journalists want to sell papers.I think its best kept out of the media as much as possible -sensationalising it is not helpful
Im not saying sweep it under the carpet, if there are war crimes that need investigating, that should be done, people have a right to justice even in war, but turning it into a years of a witch hunt is no good for the military and no good for the victims

ExactlySo what about scenario like this you are on a mission that requires you to enter a property where you know the Intel/hostages are kept everything has to be done in stealth so as not to end up in a firefight with hundreds after you. So as you proceed through the building you slit the throats of everyone sleeping within the building so no alarm is raised....is this a war crime because you never gave them a chance. ?

Is this a real incident or from one of gasses all action films/comics?Exactly
oh deary me crystal has no idea how SF work or some of the stuff they have to do . Why do you think they have all the house sets etc at hereford / coronado/ Norfolk virginia etc etc ....Modern warfare is not laying on your belly shouting at targets a couple of hundred yards awayIs this a real incident or from one of gasses all action films/comics?

Sometimes that is for the greater good.Sir Gwyn Jenkins has been appointed as the new head of the Royal Navy.
A clear case of 'who you know...' considering the allegations of failing to report evidence of war crimes committed by the SAS in Afghanistan. Any enquiry will surely sweep things under the carpet.
If I told you I would have to kill you.. if you read thread you will see I have mentioned I have a mate in the sas also have one in sbs who have discussed missions they and there squadron mates have been on . I also said I have seen classified rescue mission and no there was no questions asked . As they took everyone out.Is it a real incident, you never said?
gas is struggling with his numbers again.what is extreme about that scenario about a movement numbering hundreds of thousands
At least 20, 000 hitler youth took part in the attempt to repulse D Day and guess what they took part in war crimes
