Edge of step trim?

Hi all

We had our step lengthened as was too short however the old trim is now not long enough and I am having trouble locating the same one as the old one is self adhesive pvc plastic and only like 1mm in thickness and 4cm in width and 100cm in length.

I've looked though wicks and b and q websites but can't find one the same so hoping for some help please with any links appreciated. I've also contacted all local flooring companies to no avail.

What are you trying to match it with? That bit of timber on the other step? The original one was probably not a proper stair nosing just a bit of upvc angle.

I have only ever used click laminate flooring on a staircase once.

On completion, the only visible crews were the ones holding down the metal angle profile.

I used something a bit like this.

Just trying to get the same exact thing. Or as close as possible. Maybe the orgianal one was just a bit of upvc angle as not sure if its self adhesive that black stuff.
But something like this which is very flat ie 1mm so won't be a trip hazard.

Why not just use a proper stair nosing? They're profiled so that your feet grip them. Or https://www.screwfix.com/p/rothley-...30mm-x-30mm/253JP?tc=VA7&gStoreCode=VA7&gQT=1 then glue it on or use some double sided tape.

It's a nosing, of course it has some depth to it, think you're worrying over nothing.
