Here, this comes from your beloved BBC.Not really true, is it?
London is now second on the world list of green cities (pipped to the post by Tokyo) and thanks to the Khan's wise policy to curb car pollution in the capital, London holds a respectable position in the European league table:

But we can do better - the decriminalisation proposal is another far sighted policy that allows police resources to be better deployed in tackling real crime.
Anyone who trusts the mail for scientific accuracy gets exactly what they deserve.Ican'twon't read the Mail Online since they want me to pay for it and the second link is v. short on data.

A PHd article that hasn't been peer reviewed. There has to be better quality research out there.Global Impacts of Legalization and Decriminalization of Marijuana and Cannabis
Results: Articles were obtained from various countries regarding public health impacts of marijuana and cannabis use as well as an increase in adverse events after legalization and decriminalization of marijuana and cannabis. Information was available regarding cardiopulmonary diseases and mental health impacts from marijuana and cannabis use. Given that many countries have not yet legalized or decriminalized marijuana there were some limitations in the available information. Several countries reported an increase in motor vehicle accidents and deaths after legalization or decriminalization of marijuana. Marijuana users were noted to have an increase in negative mental health, including psychosis and suicidal behaviors, when compared to nonusers. Data demonstrates an increase in marijuana use after legalization or decriminalization
Define safe.Stoners claim cannabis is safe and yet
- Among the other recommendations made in the report are to:
That just boils down to 'i believe' and some vague anecdotes.I don't argue that alcohol is harmful. But the claim cannabis is less harmful has to be questioned. In the 50's and 70's it may well have been. Todays **** is a different beast altogether.
There are studies showing it is probably more harmful than cigarettes'
I haven't seen any evidence that smoking causes psychosis. Cannabis does.
Safe?
I do not think it is safe to use. It can have consequences far beyond what any user (most likely a friend) will tell you.
I can tell you I have never heard a doctor say its safe as they are people dealing with the harm it causes the user and any victims.
I have never heard a police officer say its safe as they to deal with the user and victims every day. I have heard them say it use is out of control.
Parents who have seen their children behaviors change from good to bad. Those who have watched their hard working child full of enthusiasm become lifeless and lazy. Those who have watched their child become a hard drug users don't think it safe.
People who have been on the receiving end of violence from druggies don't think it safe.
People who are dealing with the consequences of death or serious injury caused by drug driver don't think it safe.
People who are being terrified in the streets and in their homes by young druggie thugs don't think it safe.
The people who think it safe are the users. They are happy to see their children become users too. They don't give damn about your child.

A young human brain will be severely damaged with regular use of alcohol.A young human brain will be severely damaged with regular use of weed. Plenty of studies.

Making something legal does not introduce control. We still have alcoholics and smoking related health problems. With an illegal product there is no control.

Are you going to dispute this?
If so, I can easily find the video of your mayor stating this abomination himself as you're not able to even do a simple search online.
