Pyronix Euro Mini - recently moved in.

Hi Guys,

Moved in to house 5 yrs old, Pyronix Euro Mini system fitted from new. I've not bothered to use the system until now.

Problem - When I set the alarm, the main sounder (on the front of the house) sounds loudly while the 30 second timer is counting down to the final set.

I expect the internal sounder to beep during this time, but the outside one? Surely not? The neighbours wouldn't like that at night etc.

I have messed about in the volume section of the menu, but can't seem to find the right way to stop the siren from sounding during that 30 seconds.

Any help much appreciated.

Additional info -
1. I know nothing much about alarm systems, but am learning.
2. I replaced a faulty MEQBLUE sensor (I probably damaged it without knowing while decorating). Also during the replacement I blew the 800ma AUX fuse, and replaced it, now all fine.
3. I have been reading and messing around with the Engineer Menu etc. Walk tests ok, Signals all ok 'c'. Alarm sets ok, Entry ok. - The only apparent problem is the external sounder activating during exit countdown.
4. In the volume control menu I flipped the option for keypad only, and all it did was switch off the internal sounder.
5. I'm concerned I may have changed a setting inadvertently.

I was in the “Change outputs” menu and tried a different setting and it stopped the sounder from doing that. What should this menu settings be?

So it was ok until you messed with the setting menu ? Yes …? ….if so you have probably changed the bell output to something else…bell output should be set at ….14 siren any

I have no idea if it was ok beforehand, never used it, but I must accept the possibility or probability that I have changed a setting while familiarising myself in the menus. I’ll change it to 14 siren any when I get home. Thanks for helping.
