I feel a bit sorry for the lass, she has tried to put a bit of common sense into the economic situation, we can't just keep on spending money.
Unfortunately the loopy left are taking control and they think if anyone can't be arsed with work they should still be able to live comfortably on generous benefits, we should also allow, welcome and even help in ward migration (build them all a new house and give them a living wage in benefits). And anyone in the public sector should only have to work 4 hours a week (from home) and be on a minimum of a 6 fig salary
and all this could be funded by non doms
Reform

Sounds like a government in waiting. The dregs of the Tories (scarcely believable, but demonstrably true), you mean![]()
Sounds like a great idea---Vote for 'Reform' and then see what you get.
Under their plan, non-doms would pay the fee for a new Britannia Card and in return not be taxed on wealth, income or capital gains earned abroad.
I agree.Sounds like a DUMB idea---
It’s not a great idea, it’s a bullsh1t announcement to suck in the easily conned.Sounds like a great idea---
Reform UK has announced it would give non-doms the chance to avoid some UK taxes by paying a £250,000 fee, with the proceeds going to people on the lowest incomes.
Reform UK says income from the measure would be transferred annually tax-free to the bank accounts of the lowest paid 10% of full-time workers.
The party estimates its policy would raise between £1.5bn to £2.5bn annually, equating to £600 - £1,000 per low-paid worker.
How is a wealthy foreigner paying little or no tax better for the country than an asylum seeker working a job that can’t be filled locally? It’s not a great idea, it’s a bullsh1t announcement to suck in the easily conned.
Try thinking about what it actually means:
1) £250,000 fee is a tax gain
2) “Allowing non-doms the chance to avoid some U.K. taxes” is a tax loss
given that 1) - 2) is almost certainly going to be a negative there would be no spare money to give to the lowest paid 10% of full time workers

Ask yourself why local folk can't afford to work for the wage on offer instead. How is a wealthy foreigner paying little or no tax better for the country than an asylum seeker working a job that can’t be filled locally?

Sadly I don’t think it is just about money, people aren’t motivated to work for employers who will squeeze them dry.Ask yourself why local folk can't afford to work for the wage on offer instead.

what a pathetic thing to do, snip out the main content and quote a line out of contextGreat idea, some of it could.
